The science department at West Essex Regional School District believes an effective course of study fosters critical thinking, a life-long love of learning, an enthusiasm for academic exploration, and a desire to positively impact the world in which we live. In order to instill these values in students, the science program provides all learners with student-centered, hands-on activities that concretize abstract concepts. Each course in the science program engages students in collaborative and individual pursuits that spark imagination, illuminate the ways science has impacted society, generate an understanding of how relevant science is to everyday life, and stress how critical scientific advancements are to our future.
