Congratulations West Essex Marching Knights named one of Star Ledger's Top Picks
New Jersey has many great high school marching bands, so compiling a list of the best of the best from each of the state’s 21 counties was no easy task. But after looking at competition scores and getting advice from those involved with bands — including band directors, music educators and the folks associated with the Tournament of Bands and US Bands —the Star Ledger has made their picks and published them in the January 1, 2017 Issue.
West Essex was ranked a runner up along with Verona and West Orange as the top pick. This gives the West Essex Marching Band the distinction of being one of the top three marching bands in Essex County. In addition, the West Essex Marching Knights enjoyed an undefeated season winning the TOB Group 2A, Chapter X Championships hosted this past October at West Essex and for the first time in the school's history, being crowned the TOB Atlantic Coast Group 2A Champions.
Congratulations to Anthony Fabrizio, his staff and all the students involved in the Marching Band.
